Tim O. Hughes was born December 2, 1970 in South Carolina. He spent most of his childhood traveling, averaging a move every four to six months from age eight through eighteen. Tim embraced experiences: living on the east coast in April, planted on a plateau in Wyoming in August, and bringing in the New Year in the National Forest in Southern Oregon. Tim maintained a strong identity, while adapting and learning about life in changing environments.
Through his art, Hughes expresses his emotions, opinions, dreams, and at times odd sense of humor. He tries to reflect the world around him... what it is or what he thinks it could be... Always painting from an innocent and somewhat symbolic perspective, Tim captures the essence of the motion, the emotions, and the strength of humanity.
Tim O. Hughes has established himself as an artist in Atlanta, Georgia over the past eleven years. His work has been used in visual advertisements for events, businesses, charities and auctions. Tim's paintings have found regular homes in shops and galleries in and around Atlanta, such as V. Reed Gallery, Space Tribe, The Allan Ashton Gallery, The Callanwolde, and Outwrite Books. His work sells globally from the Online Gallery.

“I’m not so sure anymore that I am trying to make some big statement with the art that I produce. What I do know is that the pieces are a reflection of my experiences, my humor and moments of clarity and I believe that they are, most of the time, inspired. I love art and love that I get to express myself through, but not limited to, the brush, some paint, and a canvas. I think everyone should try it sometime.”
